Taken heartthrob Hrithik Roshan scores a triple whammy!

Hrithik

While the Bachchan family has been hogging headlines from the Abhishek – Aishwarya wedding, Hrithik Roshan has been inexorably rising in stature as an endearing star with good looks, style and the fattest paycheck in Bollywood.

Firstly, Hrithik has been named the 'Greek God' of Bollywood by stylists for his hot and sizzling looks! The Mirror gives him nine out of ten points for successfully 'striking a balance between the uber-sexual and metro-sexual looks with his deadly combination of a stubble and a clean-shaven chest.' He has such explosive sexuality that he takes your breath away, say the top stylists of Bollywood.

Others who share the glory with him are Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan and John Abraham (9 out of 10 points each), with Abhishek Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan (8.5 and 8 points respectively) coming a close second. The star that lags behind badly is Aamir Khan – with 7 points).

Incidentally, rumors of Aamir's troubled marriage with Kiran Rao continue to engage media attention, with his friends denying any likelihood of a split!

Hrithik's second whammy is that he has been declared the highest individual income tax payer of Bollywood for the past year. With a whopping Rs.15.10 crores paid to the state exchequer, he towers over others including SRK (Rs.14 crores), Akshay Kumar (Rs.6.60 crores), Kareena Kapoor (Rs.2.90 crores) and John Abraham (Rs.1.10 crores) all of whom also feature in the list of top ten tax payers. Wonder why the Big B and his newly married son and daughter-in-law do not feature in this list? Insiders say that these stars do not pay tax as individuals but as 'companies' thereby staying out of the list of individual tax payers.

The third whammy for Hrithik is that Jodha Akbar, the magnum opus historical made on a super-grand scale by UTV and Ashutosh Gowarikar, will showcase its first promos at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival which begins May 16, 2007. The film will be wrapped up before this date. "The festival is the best platform for marketing such a huge historical film," says the Mirror, "People who enjoyed seeing the chemistry between Hritihik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai with their much-loved lip lock in Dhoom 2, will love them in this film. Ash will attend the festival with her husband and in-laws. They will jointly address a press conference followed by a grand party to interact with foreign media and distributors.
