History continues to be re-created at the Nitin Desai Studio in Karjat even as Ashutosh Gowarikar waits for his Jodha (Aishwarya Rai) to return from her honeymoon. Producer-director Ashutosh Gowarikar, the young man who has made various kinds of film like Pehla Nasha, Baazi, Lagaan and Swades, films way far and different from each other is busy shooting the most ambitious film of his career to date, Jodhaa-Akbar a film he calls “a beautiful romantic story born even while history was in the making.”

Bachchan-Hrithik face off at the Cannes Film Festival?

The Bachchan family is headed for the Cannes Film Festival to be present for the promotion of Jodha Akbar, taking ever-present family friend Amar Singh with them.
People are wondering if director Ashutosh Gowarikar and Hrithik Roshan, the hero would mind this 'family affair' taking away all attention from the film.
In fact, one report in Bombay Times says that Hrithik may not even go to Cannes except that he might for the sake of Ashutosh with whom, he shares an excellent relationship.
Also, he has the highest regard for his work.

Big plans of Papa Roshan

Rakesh Roshan has all but one of the films made by his production company - Film Kraft. The last three films produced under the banner, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, Koi... Mil Gaya and Krrish featured his son Hrithik Roshan in the lead.
Rakesh Roshan is now inclined to empanel a set of directors to work on films produced under the Film Kraft banner, a la Yash Raj films. All the films, spanning different genres, will feature Hrithik Roshan in the lead.

Cannes is out for Ashutosh, Hrithik

Director Ashutosh Gowariker and leading man Hrithik Roshan won't be attending a show-reel presentation of Jodha-Akbar at Cannes.
Taking time off from his hectic schedule, Ashutosh said: "We couldn't make any plans for Cannes personally. But yes, we're showcasing promotional footage to attract potential international distributors so we can affect a good international release on October 12."

Court summons Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan

A local court in Muzaffarpur has issued summons to Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan to appear before it on May 30 in connection with a kissing scene in Dhoom 2 .
District Judge HK Shrivastava Friday ordered issuing of summonses to them after taking cognizance of a complaint petition filed by an advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha.

Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has emerged as the top advance income tax payer in 2006-07 while Bachchans have done it as a family.
Hrithik paid a little over Rs 15 crore, mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan paid close to Rs 14.25 crore while superstar Shah Rukh Khan paid around Rs 14 crore, Income Tax Department sources told said in Mumbai on Monday.

Hrithik Roshan to star opposite Uma Thurman?

Reports are that Hrithik Roshan may star opposite Uma Thurman in a planned biopic on Nadia, a Bollywood star of the early 20th century.
Produced by UTV, the film is to be directed by Vishal Bharadwaj .
If UTV plans go through, Uma Thurman will become the first mainstream Hollywood star to play a lead role in a Bollywood film and Hrithik will become the first Bollywood actor to be paired in the lead opposite a Hollywood star!

I pay more taxes than Hrithik: Big B

Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan claims he is the "top" tax payer in the country with Rs 15.59 crore (Rs 155.9 million), and with Aishwarya Rai joining the family, the Bachchan family's total tax would be around Rs 25.3 crore (Rs 253 million).
He was reacting to a newspaper report that said Hrithik Roshan was the highest tax payer with Rs 15.10 crore (Rs 151 million) for 2006-2007 and Shah Rukh paid Rs 14 crore (Rs 140 million) tax.

When the restaurant Baujee’s was launched by the Mehra brothers in Gurgaon’s Metropolitan Mall, younger brother Rakeysh bit into a kebab and chatted about finalising the cast of his movie, one Rang De Basanti. Three years and many tikkas later, and with one of the biggest hits behind him, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra was back in town. And he was again talking food. “I love good food.
